NEEScomm Education, Outreach and Training Coordinator

The EOT Coordinator will monitor and facilitate EOT projects and work closely with the Deputy Director on coordinating and implementing education and outreach activities. Responsible for organizing and managing research dissemination and communication activities for the NEES community including the Annual Meeting, EOT workshops, and communication efforts that disseminate NEES accomplishments, results and resources. Supplying results oriented highlights to the NSF Sponsor is paramount. Form alliances with academia, professional organizations, and industry to foster outreach, technology transfer and community development. Manage performance and workload of one visual communication specialist, one content development leader, two content development programmers, and three graduate students.

Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelor's degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.
• Three years communications, project management, technology transfer, or education in relation to a technologically oriented program.
• Extensive experience in delivering and/or developing education and outreach programs in the sciences, engineering, or technology.
• Demonstrated ability to identify communication needs, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituents as well as independently.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare grant requests and proposals for programmatic enhancement.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously without loss of productivity or accuracy.
• Ability to organize and manage seminars, conferences, and workshops.
• Ability to travel, sometimes with overnight stays.
Preferred:
• Degree in science, engineering, education, communications, or related field.
• Master's degree.
• Experience in outreach to underrepresented groups highly desirable.
Additional Information:
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime)
• Retirement: TIAA/CREF Contribution Waiting Period.
