Summary of DutiesThe Outreach and Education Coordinator will coordinate all activities relating to the Education and Outreach (E&O) mission for the Center for Emergent Materials (CEM), an interdisciplinary research center conducting integrated research on emergent materials and phenomena in magnetoelectronics. Works directly with the CEM E&O Director, E&O Committee, and CEM center staff to plan, prepare, implement and evaluate programs, workshops, presentations, seminars and other outreach activities as needed. Provides support as needed to CEM faculty involved in E&O research. Recruits and coordinates volunteers. Occasional evenings and weekends, travel.
Additional Information: Requires successful completion of a background check.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business administration, education, science, engineering or science education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; two or more years experience in program planning, administration and evaluation; strong verbal and written communication skills; computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and general office software.
Desired Qualifications Master's degree in administration, education or science with a focus on outreach and education; experience presenting research/program results and findings in written and presentation formats; knowledge of University procedure, resources, and curriculum.
Target Salary: $35,000 - $42,000 Annually
